Have you ever wondered what does it really cost to ad a pet to your household?
Dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits whatever it is it all adds up at the end of the month!
We want you to make a educated decision for you and for your future companion as all pets require many things.
First of all you will have the start up cost
The Cost of your rabbit
then if you are adopting for companionship only and not to breed, you ABSOLUTELY want your rabbit to be spayed and neutered. About 4-6 months after birth they will go thru sexual maturity and they develop NATURAL behaviors that might be obnoxious like digging, chewing, spraying and sometimes biting.
To avoid such behaviors you will need to remove their reproductive organs that cost about $200.00-$250.00 here in Utah.
I know what you are thinking...." Gio they don't really need to...." Well they do because you will not tolerate their natural behaviors and you will probably give up if you don't get that fixed. so just calculate that to your budget.
at the end of 6 months you will have spent a few "bucks" pun intended...
Can you afford it?
After all that, you are forever done with big expenses, then all you will need is pellets, litter and hay monthly which is very inexpensive.
I wanted to share this with you because some in the past have tainted a bunny's reputation calling him aggressive when he was really just "neglected", you have the responsibility of researching ,learning and calculating the costs before adopting a animal from me or anybody else. if you cannot or will refuse to provide what a animal needs, please simply do not adopt a bunny!
Welcome to my Blog. I hope to inspire you to develop a wonderful relationship with your rabbits. I will share my thoughts and daily updates here. I hope you enjoy!
