.....you waited for weeks......now is finally here you take your baby home ,now what?
The bunny is just as anxious as you are,but his life has been torn apart ,he now has a new family, who maybe doesn't understand exactly what he says, his cage is different, hopefully the food at least is the same.....but imagine ....if all you knew was taken away and you had to learn all new?
you would appreciate a little privacy, you probably wouldn't eat more then the necessary and friendship would arrive slowly......its the same thing for your bunny.
it reminds me of when I arrived in Utah from Brasil, nothing made sense. it took a while until I turned the switch, forgot the past and started new.
The same will happen to your bunny,if you respect his privacy, let him have time alone during the first day ,let him inspect his new home, smells and noises,he will let go of the " past" and welcome you into his life.
learning from their actions will make much easier to bond.
if he turns his back to you.....he doesn't like what you are doing.....
slowly you will learn how he acts and thinks will just be wonderful, but just like any change in life it takes time to adapt.....take it slow and enjoy!!!!!
