I recommend keeping things as similar as possible to how I have.
specially when it comes to potty train ,I train them with a cat litter box ,and I recommend keeping the same shape and color. Aspen wood shavings is the only material I recommend,as pine and cedar are toxic. Be sure to order ahead a time,Aspen wood shavings is hard to find and two times more expensive then pine and cedar. I sell. large bag if you want some.
keep in mind your baby had been potty trained in a confined space,if you just leave them free the first day, they will go potty wherever they have to.
Water bottles should be the same color I use and I recommend a feeder.
You can buy all your supplies from me ,when you calculate that I spend my time ,not yours,to go to the store....my gas....the profit I make is so small that you might as well just get all at once during pickup.
Feed from Pet smart and Petco, look great but all the seeds and dried veggies are nothing but junk.
You want to get the same pellets I use or better. I feed them now 16% protein pellets only, then I give them oats, fresh veggies from my garden and hay lots of hay. I give them both Alfalfa Hay and Timothy Hay,its very important that they have lots of fiber from hay.
Limit fruits and carrots because of the sugar.
Nail trimming can be intimidating for many so I'm thinking about starting a grooming package. let me know what you think.
Keep their tail area clean from " night" poop . bunnies have two types of poop the regular dry pellet like poop and a soft smelly type ,that they eat and is very important for their digestion and intestines health. do not stop them.
Rabbits are nocturnal ,so they rest and sleep during the day, have that in mind when scheduling playtime, watch for when they are awake instead of interrupting their nap.
Habitat should be big enough to stretch up and laying down . if you need a hutch I have someone that can build them or I sell cages.
Read lots before pickup and call me with questions.
