The good, the wild and the deadly!!!
It’s wonderful to let your bunny play in the backyard. They have plenty of running space and freedom from their hutch or cage. They love being outside,
and you will love to watch your bunny play outside as well.
Now there are certain things you must make sure that you know.
For one rabbits are very curious animals, they will smell, climb on or eat anything they see. Some people believe that the rabbit automatically know
that a certain plant is bad or poisonous for them. That is not necessary true.
They will try it and see if they like it, sometimes even a poisonous plant might seem yummy to them…but in fact are very deadly. So you have to watch your rabbit when they are playing outside, some plants as dandelions, sunflowers, willow leaves, strawberries, maple sugar, and maple silver leaves are okay for them to eat. However in the great adventure that they have outdoors there are deadly plants that might make them sick, or that can cause death. Plants or weeds like: milkweed, lilies of the valley (a flower) mushrooms, daffodils (which are actually even poisonous to humans) buttercups, and the deadliest the nightshade.
Keep these away from your rabbit. Unfortunately we humans do not have a list of all the poisonous plants
and weeds that are bad for rabbits. So a good rule to set is: If you don’t know one hundred percent what it is, or if it’s poisonous or not, don’t let your
bunny eat it. This will keep your bunny safe and sound.
